Hayward Russell City Blues Festival

My goodness, my goodness! Another stellar performance was offered by the gifted group Consonance. Today at the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival, they opened the day with a rousing performance. Patrons were in awe of their smooth style and great muscisianship. They opened the set with "Come On In This House". This fast and tight gospel will be on their upcoming cd and it features Bros. Mack Williams and Paul Foster, Jr. sharing the lead. Their counterbalance is great and each sings their part with lots of energy. For a gosple group, the group certainly is not traditional. They move in and out songs with ease and they are master showmen. Paul Foster, Jr. did the popular "God Came In My Life" from the See The Light cd, and was mingling with the crowd singing how his life was changed. Lloyd Gregory's solo on the lead guitar was very impressive as was his guitar work the entire set. This group really knows how to work an audience with either musical solos or vocal skill. And the group performed "Good News Blues #3 with Bobby Reed on lead vocals. It was show stopper. So, if you have not seen them on stage, you need to do yourself a favor and catch them at the next performance. You will not regret it. by Jackie Taylor
